» Can I use bizBaron to sell products and/or schedule appointments for my customers while allowing them to do the same?
Yes. With bizBaron, you have "back office" access to customer and sales information which allows you to perform the same tasks as the customers on their accounts. With this feature, all you need is a computer and an internet connection to use bizBaron within your store, or wherever, as a point-of-sale solution.
» What if I have an existing website?
You can use bizBaron to compliment an existing website. Simply create a bizBaron-hosted website, and add links to and from each website to reference each other. Note that with the flexibility of bizBaron, you can likely enhance your bizBaron-hosted website to look very similar to your existing website. However, note that all of bizBaron's functionality is limited to the web pages that exist within the bizBaron-hosted website.
» I don't know HTML or any other programming or interpreted languages - can I still use bizBaron?
Yes. Through a WYSIWYG (what-you-see-is-what-you-get) editor, you can easily manage the content on your web pages. Helpful screens allow you to easily include images, files, and links within your web pages.
» Can I control the HTML, javascript, etc. of my web pages with bizBaron?
Yes. By using a different edit mode, you can use HTML and/or javascript to control the content of your web pages. However, the website index is generated and controlled by the options available within bizBaron.
» What other software do I need in order to use bizBaron?
None. bizBaron can be your full solution for your internet sales and point-of-sale needs. If you use other software for accounting, record keeping, etc., you may be able to import data from bizBaron by creating a comma-delimited report.
» Is bizBaron secure?
Yes. We've taken every step that we can conceive in order to make your web experience a safe one. All sensitive financial information is confined to PayPal's® website. Security images exist on the login screens in order to ensure no automated processes can test logins. Multiple checks are performed for each request to validate each user.
» Do I receive a receipt for online sales and/or appointments?
Every transaction through bizBaron is considered a "sale", regardless if there was a charge. For each sale, an email is sent to the location for which the sale was initiated (each location can have a different email addresses defined). The same email receipt is emailed to the customer's email address. For appointments, a reminder is sent to the customer two days prior to the appointment date.
» Can I block certain customers from my website?
Yes. Each customer is identified by a valid and unique email address. If a customer has signed up, and is unwanted, the customer can be suspended so that they may no longer login to your website.
» Can I accept payments online?
Yes. You simply need to setup a business PayPal® account as outlined in the online help, and support the PayPal® payment method within your bizBaron setup. Through your PayPal® account, you can receive payments from your customers. Note that all sensitive financial information is handled by PayPal® and is not visible to bizBaron.
» How flexible is the bizBaron product/service/subscription/appointment setup?
bizBaron is extremely flexible due to a multitude of settings available for each item. To understand the options in detail, please visit our online help, or try bizBaron before subscribing.
» Do I get an email account with my subscription?
Email accounts are provided for managed hosting subscriptions, but are not provided for subdomain subscriptions. However, there are several resources on the web that provide free email accounts, including Hotmail and Yahoo!.
» Can I have my own unique domain with bizBaron?
Yes. Simply select a managed hosting subscription when signing up and identify the domain you want to use. Please verify that you own the domain, or that the domain you have selected is available by visiting register.com. After you sign-up, you will be contacted by bizBaron support once your website is ready for use.
» Do I have access to the server that is hosting my bizBaron website?
For subdomain subscriptions, access to the server is not allowed. For managed hosting subscriptions, you'll have all of the access provided by the third-party web hosting service.
» Do you support Frontpage extensions?
For managed hosting subscriptions, Frontpage extensions can be supported at no charge. Simply send a request to bizBaron Support. For subdomain subscriptions, Frontpage extensions are not supported.
